Skouras bottles this as a dry red from one hundred per cent Agiorgitiko, the step above the estate's straight Nemea. It stays under twenty five euros on the Greek market.
Tip: Still inside the budget band at about twenty two euros, and the one to open if you want Nemea with some cellar time behind it.
PDO NemeaAgiorgitikoaround 12.60 euros at retail in Greecestill-red
The house red of the Palivou cellar at Ancient Nemea, listed on the estate's product page as Agiorgitiko under the Nemea name. One of the easiest bottles to buy at the door, since the cellar takes walk in visitors.
Tip: Palivou opens daily, 10:00 to 18:00 from April to September, so you can buy this one without an appointment.

The entry Nemea from an estate that farms 630 stremmata by organic methods across Xirokampos, Kolones and the other Ancient Nemea parcels. It carries the vintage on the estate's own label list.
Tip: Papaioannou receives by appointment only, so order this one in Athens unless you have called the cellar ahead.

The old vine Nemea from Papaioannou, sold in Greece as Palaia Klimata and listed on the estate's label page. Twenty two euros is the top of what counts as a value buy in this zone.
Tip: The estate's parcels sit at different altitudes and vine ages, which is the point of this bottling. Give it an hour open.
PDO NemeaAgiorgitikoaround 16.70 euros at retail in Greecestill-red
Mitravelas lists this under its Ktima family of wines as a PDO Nemea red. The cellar sits on Christopoulou street in the town and the family has grown Agiorgitiko here for five generations.
Tip: If you like it, the estate's Old Vines bottling is the same fruit taken much further, at roughly four times the price.
PDO NemeaAgiorgitikoaround 12.20 euros at retail in Greecestill-red
Ergo is one of the labels Ktima Lantides lists on its own site, a Nemea red from a cellar that makes about 200,000 bottles a year off 170 stremmata of owned vineyard plus contracted growers.
Tip: Lantides takes walk in visitors Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 18:00, and there is a magnum of this wine if you are buying for a table.

The reserve level Nemea from the Semeli cellar at Koutsi, listed among the estate's red wines. Semeli was founded in 1979 and runs fixed tour times most days of the week.
Tip: Koutsi sits high enough that Semeli's fruit keeps acidity. Worth tasting next to a plain bottling from the valley floor.

The top Nemea in the Semeli red range, listed on the estate's own wines page. At about twenty four euros it is the last bottle in the zone that still clears the twenty five euro line.
Tip: Released with several years behind it. Semeli also bottles this in magnum, which turns up in Athens shops at more than twice the price.

The Classic bottling from Ktima Driopi at Koutsi, the Nemea arm of the Tselepos family. The cellar does not receive visitors, so this is a bottle you buy in town or in Athens.
Tip: Koutsi fruit at about twelve euros. A useful reference point for what the village gives before oak is added.
