Antonio Macanita and David Booth founded Fitapreta in 2004, working 20 hectares of old Alentejo vines from the 14th century Paco do Morgado de Oliveira near Evora.

Tasting: Open daily 10:00 to 18:00, booking required, with group and private tastings, olive oil tastings, a wine bar and the restaurant A Cozinha do Paco on site.

Organic and biodynamic estate at Mouraz, 25 hectares in scattered granite parcels between 200 and 400 metres. Ecocert-certified since 1996, working biodynamically since 2006.

Adega at Lagarinhos, in the Serra da Estrela sub-region, established in 1892 and one of the houses behind the 1908 demarcation of the Dão. Old vines kept, cellar modernised.

Casa Américo's Gouveia property inside the Serra da Estrela natural park, and the source of the Vinha de Púcaros Touriga Nacional Resíduo Zero, which the producer states is the first Iberian wine made from grapes with no pesticide residues.
