Chichester Cheese and Chilli Festival ★ 3.8
Two-day outdoor festival in Oaklands Park with artisan cheese producers, chilli growers, sauce makers, street food and cooking demonstrations. The 2026 edition was held on 20 and 21 June.
Vineyard and winery tour, then four Albourne drinks matched with local Sussex cheeses, sheep and cow, one unpasteurised. Not for under-18s; the cheese is in the ticket price.

Slipcote is fresh, creamy and lemony, so it suits a light, dry, unoaked white with high acidity. Bacchus is crisp enough to echo the cheese's tang without burying its soft, milky centre.
A dry Pinot Gris has enough weight and roundness to meet the soft curd, while its fruit leaves the lemony tang of the cheese clear.
