Mas Mallola is Marco Abella's entry-level Priorat from biodynamically farmed terraced vineyards in Porrera. The Marco family has roots in Porrera dating to 1497 according to Catalan census records, returned to their estate in 1898, and built their modern gravity-fed winery in 2001. Four separate terraced plots at altitudes from 200 to 700 metres produce concentrated but fresh Garnacha-Carinena blends.
Tip: The Marco Abella estate is one of the few in Priorat with documented roots before the 15th century. Mas Mallola is the affordable entry to this historic licorella property.
