The Ribera del Duero DO takes part annually in the Vino + Tapas event on Valladolid's main promenade. Winery stands pour current releases - Roble, Crianza, and Reserva - alongside local tapas producers. The three-day street event draws trade buyers and consumers and functions as a spring showcase of newly released vintages. The 2025 edition ran 16-18 May on Calle Acera de Recoletos.

Roa is also notable as the birthplace of Francisco Jimenez de Cisneros (Cardinal Cisneros) and has a medieval wine history predating the DO. Now in its 26th edition (2025), the Premios Envero is the region's premier consumer wine competition. The flagship 'mil siempre aciertan' format recruits 1,000 blind tasters to assess all submitted DO wines; the winners are announced at the outdoor EnveroFest at Parque de la Isla on the last Saturday of May, with live folk music and the largest outdoor Ribera del Duero wine bar. A formal awards gala follows in early June. In 2024, 89 wineries submitted 248 samples. Entry is ticketed for tasting; the awards ceremony is ticketed separately.
