DOCG Franciacorta / DOC CurtefrancaChardonnay, Pinot Nero, Pinot Bianco, Erbamat42 haFounded 1836Barboglio family (Emanuela, Lucia and Giulio Barboglio)ICEAPassirano
Founded in 1836 when the Barboglio family inherited the centuries-old residence with its 16th-century wine cellars. Now in its fifth generation, the estate farms 42 organic-certified hectares across the Passirano and Camignone hills, including some of the appellation's oldest continuous Pinot Bianco plots and one of the original consortium-trial Erbamat parcels.
Tasting: Guided visit through the 16th-century underground cellars at Camignone, vineyard walk through the historic Pinot Bianco and Erbamat plots, and a flight of QdE Brut, Nature, Pas Dosé Riserva and EBB single-vintage Erbamat. Reservation required; English spoken.
Signature wines: mosnel-qde-brut, mosnel-pas-dose, mosnel-saten, mosnel-ebb, mosnel-parosé
Tip: The EBB single-vintage Erbamat bottling is one of the very few examples of the variety bottled at high percentage; book a back-vintage flight to taste it against the QdE.

Schiavi family-run cellar founded in 1979 in a converted 1940s wine cooperative building. 45 organic hectares with one of the appellation's larger Pinot Bianco footprints (around a quarter of plantings). Around 350,000 bottles a year across 9 labels.
Tasting: Visit by appointment to the former 1940s cooperative building at Saiano. Vineyard walk through the 45 organic hectares (around a quarter planted to Pinot Bianco), with a flight of Brut, Satèn, Demetra Riserva and Anteo single vineyard.
Signature wines: mirabella-brut, mirabella-saten, mirabella-demetra-riserva, mirabella-anteo, mirabella-rose
Tip: The Pinot Bianco focus is unusual; ask for the Anteo single-vineyard bottling that leans most heavily on the variety.

Tasting: Visit by appointment to the small Passirano cellar focused on vintage-only bottlings (no NV blends). Vineyard walk through the organic-farmed plot and a flight of the cellar's current Millesimato releases. Booking via the consortium roster phone.
Signature wines: santus-blanc-de-blancs, santus-rose-millesimato, santus-extra-brut, santus-pas-dose, santus-vintage-reserve

Founded in 1998 by the Bontempi family at Gussago on the eastern edge of the appellation. 12 hectares of steep, sun-exposed terraces on calcareous-clay-rocky soils; around 75,000 bottles a year across 8 labels.
Tasting: Visit by appointment to the Gussago cellar, vineyard walk on the rocky calcareous slopes and a flight of Brut, Satèn, Rosé and Riserva. Steep south-exposure sites and calcareous-rocky soil define the house style.
Signature wines: le-cantorie-brut, le-cantorie-saten, le-cantorie-rose, le-cantorie-extra-brut, le-cantorie-riserva
