Leiwener Weinfest

Four-day tent wine festival on the Festplatz in Leiwen on the Middle Mosel. The village lists the crowning of the Weinkönigin on Saturday, the festival parade on Sunday and a public tasting by the Leiwen young winemakers on Monday evening.

Mehringer Winzerfest

Wine festival in Mehring on the Mosel run by the Vereinigung Mehringer Winzerfest e.V., held at the start of September. The 2026 edition ran under the motto Herzenssache Moselwein, and the 2027 edition is billed as the 95th anniversary; Wikipedia dates the festival to 1932.

Mosel-Wein-Woche Cochem

Five-day wine event on the Endertplatz in Cochem at which winegrowers from the wine villages of the Ferienland Cochem pour Riesling wines and Winzersekt in a small wine village at the old Mosel bridge. The Ferienland Cochem tourist board counted 13 winegrowers in 2026. Entry is free, with live music and a fireworks display on the Friday.

Weinfest der Mittelmosel ★ 4.6

One of the largest wine festivals on the entire Mosel, held around the first Sunday in September with a wine route, the Mosella crowning, a parade and fireworks.

Tip: Accommodation in Bernkastel sells out months ahead; stay in a neighbouring village and walk in along the riverside promenade.

Mythos Mosel ★ 4.6

A grower-run Riesling weekend in which dozens of Middle Mosel estates between Detzem and Wintrich open for vintage tastings, special pours and cellar parties.

Tip: Buy the wristband in advance and cluster your stations by village; the riverside towns sit close enough to walk or shuttle between several growers.
