Faugeres Producers Weekend ★ 4.5

Faugeres

The Faugeres Producers Weekend is the Syndicat AOP Faugeres annual two-day open-house at the syndicat headquarters on Route de Pezenas. The 2026 edition coincides with the inauguration of the new syndicat offices and combines an organic producers' market, grills, a concert and tapas with Faugeres wine tastings across the appellation's schist-slope producers.

Tip: Faugeres is sleepier than Pic Saint-Loup or Corbieres for tourists; the producers' weekend is the single-stop introduction to the appellation. Accommodations at Beziers (15 minutes south) are abundant.

Estivales de Montpellier (Friday-night wine market) ★ 4.5

Esplanade Charles de Gaulle, Montpellier

Les Estivales de Montpellier is the city's weekly Friday-night wine market on the Esplanade Charles de Gaulle, running through summer (July into August). Around 30 to 40 Languedoc growers pour by the glass alongside food stalls and live music. The format is informal: buy a glass, walk the stalls, pair with regional charcuterie or grilled sardines from the food trucks.

Tip: Les Estivales is the easiest single-evening introduction to Languedoc wine for a Montpellier visit. Arrive at 19:00 to beat the queues; the music programme runs from 20:30. Producers rotate week-to-week so check the city calendar for the current list.

Les Oenoculturelles en Grand Pic Saint-Loup ★ 4.5

Across the Grand Pic Saint-Loup territory

Les Oenoculturelles is the Grand Pic Saint-Loup territory's annual oenotourism programme combining estate visits, vineyard walks, art and music sessions at participating producers from Saint-Mathieu-de-Treviers to Lauret, Claret and Valflaunes from May through September. The programme is organised by the Office de Tourisme du Grand Pic Saint-Loup.

Tip: Check the agenda at grandpicsaintloup.fr for the current session list; a car is essential as the participating estates are spread across the territory.

Vinocap Cap d'Agde wine festival ★ 4.4

Quais du Centre-Port, Cap d'Agde

Vinocap is the spring Languedoc wine trade and consumer fair at Cap d'Agde, running over the Ascension weekend in May. The event gathers more than 100 producers from across the Herault and Occitanie including Picpoul de Pinet, Faugeres, Saint-Chinian, Cotes de Thongue, Clairette du Languedoc and the AOP Languedoc. Tasting packages give access to all producer stands.

Tip: Entry is free; a 5-euro tasting package includes 5 tastings and a commemorative glass. Cap d'Agde is on the coast at the mouth of the Herault; the festival pairs naturally with a coastal oyster lunch at the nearby Bouzigues lagoon.

Vignobles en Scene (Cote du Midi) ★ 4.3

Cote du Midi (Narbonne area)

Vignobles en Scene is the Cote du Midi tourism office's autumn weekend showcasing the five Aude wine terroirs of La Clape, Minervois, Corbieres, Fitou and Coteaux de Narbonne. Programme includes gourmet hikes, music in the vineyards, gastronomic meals, vineyard tours by mountain bike, electric scooter or on foot, cellar visits, blending workshops, Michelin-starred restaurants and food-wine pairings. The event was previously branded Fascinating Weekend.

Tip: Combine with a visit to the Halles de Narbonne (covered market) for the canonical pairing of Aude wines with the local oysters and shellfish from Gruissan lagoon. The Narbo Via Roman museum is a short walk from the place de l'Hotel de Ville.
