Tasting of separately vinified Nerello Mascalese cuvees from multiple contrade at the same estate; a Burgundy-style comparison of Etna's distinct lava-flow zones expressed through single-contrada wines aged in the same cellar.
Tip: Request the Feudo di Mezzo versus Zottorinoto comparison; the lava-flow age difference creates a strikingly different wine profile.
Address: Strada Provinciale 89, Contrada Iannazzo, 95030 Castiglione di Sicilia (CT), Sicily
Full-day off-road adventure combining Etna's summit lava flows, a cave exploration and a winery tasting with olive oil; 4x4 vehicle access to areas not reachable by normal vehicle; English-speaking guides; rated 4.9/5.

Sunset vineyard picnic at Tenuta di Castellaro on Lipari; platters of typical Sicilian products and traditional sweets served in organic volcanic-soil Malvasia vineyards with panoramic sea views over the Aeolian archipelago.
