Klausen / Chiusa centre (Capuchin Garden)
Sabiona is the Eisacktaler White Wine Festival held in the Capuchin Garden of Klausen (Chiusa), 5pm to midnight on a Friday evening in early June. Eisacktal producers from Neustift through Klausen to the southern Eisacktal pour Sylvaner, Kerner, Mueller-Thurgau, Riesling, Gewurztraminer, Gruener Veltliner and Eisacktaler sparkling, organised by grape variety. The 2026 edition is Friday 5 June.
Tip: EUR 25 covers a tasting glass with the Klausen coat of arms; the band Karussell provides music. The festival is named after the Latin Sabiona, the Saben Monastery that overlooks Klausen.
Via dei Portici, Bolzano
Calici di Stelle (Lorenzinacht / St. Lawrence Night) is the open-air August wine tasting along Bolzano's Via dei Portici arcades, timed to the Perseid meteor shower peak. The Bolzano Tourist Board, the city's wineries and Wine Road producers pour Lagrein, Vernatsch and Santa Maddalena alongside Pinot Bianco and Gewurztraminer; Town Hall Square hosts the Santa Maddalena selection.
Tip: Glass deposit applies. Calici di Stelle is part of the national Citta del Vino programme on 10 August each year, the Perseids astronomical event known locally as Lorenzinacht.
Caldaro Paese / Kaltern Dorf main square
The Kalterer Weintage (Caldaro Wine Days) bring Cantina Kaltern, Manincor and the private Caldaro producers to the village main square for two evenings in early September. About 150 white, rose and red wines from the current vintage are poured, and the event has run for over 30 editions. The 2026 edition is Thursday 3 and Friday 4 September from 6pm.
Tip: Schiava from Kalterersee (Lago di Caldaro) is the headline pour. Pair with a swim in the lake (warm into September) and a producer visit at Manincor on the lake's western shore the same day.
Tramin (Termeno) village lane
The Tramin Wine Lane (Traminer Weingassl) decorates Tramin's central village lane each October Saturday, with Tramin's cooperative and private wineries pouring Gewurztraminer, Lagrein, Pinot Nero and other South Tyrolean wines alongside roasted chestnuts, fritters and Schlutzkrapfen. The 2026 edition is Saturday 17 October.
Tip: Pay the EUR 5 glass deposit on arrival and you receive a Tramin-coat-of-arms tasting glass. Free shuttle buses from Kaltern, St. Josef am See, Kurtatsch and Auer.
Bolzano centro (Castel Mareccio)
The Mostra Vini di Bolzano (Bozner Weinkost) is Alto Adige's longest-running wine exhibition, in its 99th edition in 2026. More than 40 producers pour around 180 labels across four days inside the 12th-century Castel Mareccio. Sub-zone tastings of Bolzano, Oltradige, Bassa Atesina, Valle Isarco and Merano.
Tip: EUR 25 covers entry plus 10 tasting vouchers and a 3-hour table reservation; additional tastings are EUR 1 per glass (EUR 3 for dessert wines). Book ahead.
