Valle Reale states that more than half of its 46 hectares are certified organic with the remainder in conversion, on a plateau at 350 metres around Popoli and Capestrano.
Tip: The named parcels are Sant'Eusanio, San Calisto, Popoli, Capestrano and Convento, and the Capestrano fruit comes from the warmer Piana di Ofena.

The Tollo cooperative bottles an organic Montepulciano, Trebbiano and Pecorino at cooperative prices, drawing on 2,700 hectares of member vineyard across the Chieti hills.
Tip: Organic Montepulciano and Trebbiano are both 7.40 euros on the cooperative's own shop, the cheapest certified organic bottles in the region.

An Atri farm in the calanchi badlands about eight kilometres from the sea, farming organically and fermenting Trebbiano and Pecorino in terracotta amphorae.
Tip: Luciano Pignataro covered the amphora work here early. The farm also runs tented suites in the olive grove if you want to stay on site.

A Tortoreto estate a few kilometres from the Adriatic working with low intervention, including amphora aged Montepulciano. Winemag grouped it with De Fermo writing about natural wine in Abruzzo.
Tip: The cellar door publishes hours including Saturday mornings, which is rare on this coast. Bottles run from 13 to 36.50 euros at the door.
