Open Doors at Greek wineries ★ 4.1

For one weekend each May the Greek producers associations throw open their member cellars from 11:00 to 19:00, with free entry, tours and tastings. Wines of Peloponnese is one of the regional bodies taking part, which brings the Nemea zone into the programme.

Tip: Entry is free and nothing is booked in advance, so check which Nemea cellars have signed up on the association lists before you plan the drive out.

Nemea

Three days when the producers association hands the town over to tasting: open pours through the villages, ticketed masterclasses on aged Nemea and on Kydonitsa, tank and barrel sessions at the cellars, and a free concert on the central square.

Tip: The Friday opening and the concert that follows it are free. The bussed Asprokampos tasting and the masterclasses take registration weeks ahead.
