Across Var domaines
Art et Vin is a Var-wide summer programme of artist residencies in domaines, run since 1998 by the Federation des Vignerons Independants du Var. Plasticians, sculptors, photographers and video artists install work across cellars, vineyards and terraces of Cotes de Provence, Bandol and Coteaux Varois estates from June to September. The 2026 theme is 'Matiere et temporalite'.
Tip: Most participating domaines are free to visit during normal cellar hours through the summer. Pair with a tasting; many estates publish bespoke food-and-wine programmes alongside the installations.
Across Bouches-du-Rhone (Coteaux d'Aix, Les Baux, IGP Alpilles, IGP Mediterranee)
Balades Vigneronnes are guided walks across Bouches-du-Rhone vineyards from spring to autumn, hosted by member estates of Vignerons Independants. Each walk pairs vineyard interpretation with a cellar tasting at the host domaine, focused on the Coteaux d'Aix, Les Baux and IGP Alpilles appellations.
Tip: Walks rotate by month; the Route des Vins du Sud agenda page lists active hosts. The Les Baux biodynamic estates are particularly active in the programme.
La Cadiere d'Azur (rotating Bandol estate, 2026 edition at Domaine de la Garenne)
The Escapades des Vins de Bandol is the consortium's flagship weekend, a five-kilometre gourmand walk through the vines hosted each year by a different Bandol estate. Around twenty appellation neighbours pour their best vintages alongside food stops prepared by local chefs. The 2026 edition runs 5 to 7 June at Domaine de la Garenne in La Cadiere d'Azur, the 15th edition.
Tip: Book the Saturday walk in advance via the Bandol Maison des Vins. The participating roster usually includes Domaine de la Begude, Domaines Bunan, Chateau Canadel, Domaine la Suffrene, Moulin de la Roque and Domaine Ray-Jane.
Port of Bandol
The Fete des Vins de Bandol is the appellation's winter showcase, held each first December weekend on the port of Bandol. The 2025 edition gathered 42 Bandol producers; the festival celebrates the newly released vintage and the late-released Bandol reds across an indoor and outdoor tasting setup at the quay.
Tip: Buy the commemorative tasting glass at the entrance for access to all the producer stands. The 2025 dates were 6 and 7 December, and the 2026 edition is expected on the first weekend of December.
Across Provence Vignobles & Decouvertes destinations
Vignobles en Scene (formerly Fascinant Week-end) is the national oenotourism programme held on the third weekend of October across all France's Vignobles & Decouvertes destinations. In Provence, the Bandol, Sud Sainte-Baume, Provence Verte and Pays d'Aix territories run cellar tastings, vineyard walks, concerts and food-and-wine pairings.
Tip: The Bandol consortium publishes the active estates in early October. The 2025 edition ran 17 to 19 October; the 2026 edition lands on the third weekend in the same pattern.
