Cooperative set up on 4 January 1906 by 26 Arbois growers after phylloxera, it pressed for the AOC system and bottles under the Chateau Bethanie name from a cellar built in 1969.
Tasting: Tasting and sales at the Chateau Bethanie site; the separate Place de la Liberte shop is closed for building works.
Tip: Its Savagnin cellar, created in 1993, holds 3,000 Burgundy pieces of 228 litres, which is why the vin jaune range runs deep.

Family estate created in 1973 on 10.3 hectares at Les Arsures and Montigny-les-Arsures, on soils that suit Trousseau and Ploussard, vinified variety by variety and parcel by parcel.
Tasting: Cellar visit and tasting Monday to Saturday, 9.30am to 12pm and 2pm to 6pm, preferably by appointment; groups of about 25 by arrangement. Closed Sundays and holidays.
Tip: Certified Haute Valeur Environnementale since 2013 and converting to organics from the 2019 harvest onward.

Twenty hectares split between 15 in AOC Arbois at Montigny-les-Arsures and Arbois and 5 in Cotes du Jura on the En Chamoz slope above Salins-les-Bains.
Tasting: Cellier de Genne at the old abbey in Montigny-les-Arsures; French, German and English spoken.
Tip: The cellar occupies a former abbey building, which is worth the detour on its own.

Tip: A Burgundian reading of Arbois: expect topped-up whites alongside the traditional sous voile bottlings.

Tip: Certified Terra Vitis. Open at weekends, which many Pupillin growers are not.
