Ruggeri's brut style for occasions calling for a leaner, drier Prosecco Superiore than the classic Extra Dry. Quartese is named after a Valdobbiadene locality and emphasises the zone's mineral freshness.

What it pairs with

  • Grilled branzino with herbs
Dry freshness and mineral thread are ideal with grilled sea bass.
  • Caesar salad
Brut acidity cleanses between bites of creamy dressing.
  • Cicchetti veneziani
Versatile brut works across the diversity of Venetian bar snacks.

History

Quartese was introduced as Ruggeri's answer to growing demand for dry Brut Prosecco, distinct from the Extra Dry heritage of the house. The name references the Quartese locality of the Valdobbiadene hills.

  1. 2008 — Ruggeri launches Quartese Brut as a dry-style complement to the Extra Dry flagship.
