Third-generation family holding of about 85 years standing in the comune of Illasi on the Mezzane valley side, run by Luca Anselmi and Sofia Kherkeladze, with an organic olive oil alongside the wines.

Falezze Grappa di Amarone ★ 4.2

Luca Anselmi sends the marc of Falezze's own dried Corvina and Corvinone out to be distilled under contract and bottles the single Grappa di Amarone under the estate label at Pigno, alongside the wines and the olive oil. There is no still at the estate.

Small Illasi holding worked by Luca Anselmi at Pigno, in the eastern valley that Dal Forno made famous, with its own Grappa di Amarone alongside the wines.

Tip: Illasi is 25 minutes from Verona on the SP10. The valley is quieter than the Classico zone on a Saturday.
