What it pairs with
-
Sea bream carpaccio
Mascaronne's saline core matches raw fish; white-pepper finish refreshes between bites. -
Provencal vegetable tian
Layered tomato, courgette and aubergine aligns with the wine's body and saline-pepper finish. -
Grilled red mullet
Red mullet's iodine sweetness meets the wine's saline depth; tangerine notes lift the oily fish. -
Salade nicoise
Anchovy, olive and tuna meet the rose's saline depth and red-fruit lift.
History
La Mascaronne was modernised by Tom Bove in the early 2000s, with biodynamic-influenced organic farming and the launch of Quat'Saisons Rose. Michel Reybier acquired the estate in 2020 and has continued the organic program. The Quat'Saisons (four seasons) cuvee is the estate's flagship volume rose.
