Cantina Terlano's flagship single-vineyard Pinot Bianco from the south-facing Monzoccolo slopes (450-650 metres altitude) on quartz-rich porphyry. Full-bodied, creamy, flint-driven; an age-worthy Italian Pinot Bianco, capable of 20-30 years cellaring.

What it pairs with

  • Pan-seared scallops with vanilla beurre blanc
Sweet shellfish meets the wine's creamy lees character; vanilla echoes the wood's gentle spice.
  • Truffle risotto
Vorberg's umami and salinity flatter white truffle without overpowering the dish.
  • Roast pheasant with chestnuts
The wine's full body matches game bird; flint and honey notes echo chestnut and roasted skin.
  • Aged Trentino Grana
The cheese's umami connects with the wine's saline depth and lees-driven character.

History

Cantina Terlano launched Vorberg in the early 1990s as the cellar's first single-vineyard Pinot Bianco Riserva, sourced from the south-facing Monzoccolo vineyards at 450-650 metres altitude on quartz-porphyry soils. The wine became the proof point for Pinot Bianco's age-worthiness and underpins Terlano's Rarita library programme.
