Aroma: white peach, orange blossom, anise, garrigue, mineral

Palate: apricot, candied lemon, light spice, fresh herb, stony finish

A full-bodied white Chateauneuf from the same La Crau galets plateau; aromatic, generous, and approachable, with Grenache Blanc's stone-fruit depth and good freshness.

What it pairs with

  • Grilled sea bream with herbs
White Chateauneuf's full body and herb notes complement Mediterranean fish.
  • Bouillabaisse
Anise and stone-fruit aromas find echoes in Provencal fish stew.
  • Tapenade and crudites
The wine's garrigue notes pair naturally with olive-based Provencal snacks.

History

The white Vieux Telegraphe is produced from old Grenache Blanc, Clairette, Roussanne, and Bourboulenc vines on the La Crau plateau. A multi-variety blend fermented and aged in old wood, it reflects the stony terroir in a generous, herb-accented style.

  1. 1990 — White cuvee first produced under the La Crau label
