Speri's estate Amarone Classico reflects the six-generation family's traditional approach with large-cask ageing, producing a fresh, floral, tobacco-inflected Amarone that remains one of the most consistent classic-zone expressions.

What it pairs with

  • Gnocchi al ragu di cinghiale
Wild boar ragu's fatty richness is balanced by the wine's high acidity and dried-herb character.
  • Aged Asiago d'Allevo
Local mountain cheese from the Lessini hills is the classic regional pairing.

History

Speri has been farming the Monte Masua and Sant'Urbano hillsides since the 19th century and bottling Amarone since the appellation's commercial origins. The estate's philosophy is traditional large-cask ageing preserving the natural acidity and floral freshness of Corvina.

  2. 1874 — Speri family vineyard origins on the hillsides of Fumane
