In the glass
Aroma: white flowers, peach, toasted almond, hazelnut
Palate: stone fruit, nutty, mineral, persistent finish
Mandrarossa's single-vineyard Fiano from the Terre di Giumara estate shows the variety's characteristic nutty-mineral quality from Menfi's calcareous-clay soils close to the Mediterranean coast.
What it pairs with
-
Fried calamari with aioli
Almond-mineral notes and high acidity complement deep-fried squid with garlic sauce. -
Pasta con le sarde and fennel
Fiano's nutty mineral register works with fennel and sardine pasta. -
Grilled langoustines
Stone-fruit richness and mineral acidity are the natural Fiano pairing for grilled shellfish.
