Domaine du Pegau's Gigondas carries the same traditional old-foudre philosophy as their Chateauneuf; structured, herb-driven, and deeply characterful.

What it pairs with

  • Roasted lamb with lavender honey glaze
Southern herb and cherry notes pair with lavender-glazed lamb.
  • Slow-braised ox cheek with vegetables
Dense fruit and tobacco complexity match rich braised beef.

History

Pegau extended their portfolio to Gigondas to offer a more accessible Southern Rhone red in the same traditional style. The wine is produced from purchased old-vine Grenache in Gigondas, vinified and aged in old foudres.
