Aroma: liquorice, black fruit compote, cured meat, tobacco, anise

Palate: dark fig, prune, iron, dried herbs, velvety tannic grip

Between the Reservee and da Capo in style; rich, deep, and complex with southern warmth and Mourvedre backbone adding iron and herb notes.

What it pairs with

  • Grilled rib of beef
Deep fruit and iron notes handle the char and fat of prime beef.
  • Truffle-studded lamb
The wine's herb and truffle-adjacent earth notes pair beautifully.

History

Cuvee Laurence was created as an intermediate prestige cuvee at Pegau, named for Laurence Feraud. It sits between the Reservee and the rare da Capo in terms of concentration and extraction.
