VORS Amontillado from a solera maintained since the bodega's founding in 1744; exceptional saline complexity from extended Sanlúcar biological phase and decades of subsequent oxidative development.

What it pairs with

  • Sip alone or with a small selection of aged cheeses
At VORS age and complexity, the wine merits contemplative service with minimal distraction.
  • Roasted almonds and ibérico ham
Traditional tapas context for fine aged Amontillado in Cádiz.

History

The name Quo Vadis? (Where are you going?) reflects the profound age and rarity of this VORS Amontillado. The wine draws from solera butts maintained at the Delgado Zuleta bodega since the 18th century. Average age exceeds 30 years, with some butts containing wine considerably older. The saline Atlantic influence of Sanlúcar persists through the extraordinary oxidative development.

  1. 1744 — Foundation solera established at Delgado Zuleta's Sanlúcar bodega
  2. 2008 — Quo Vadis? VORS Amontillado released as a named premium tier
