What it pairs with

  • Langostinos de Sanlúcar
The local pairing: Sanlúcar prawns with Sanlúcar Manzanilla.
  • Fried small fish (boquerones, chanquetes)
Delicate Manzanilla's acidity and salinity complement fried small fish without overwhelming them.
  • Marinated olives
Saline brine character of the wine is amplified by marinated olives.

History

Bodegas Medina was founded in 1911 in Sanlúcar de Barrameda, where the proximity to the Atlantic and the Guadalquivir estuary produces the unique conditions for Manzanilla ageing. The Manzanilla Medina is a traditional production from old flor-covered soleras in the Sanlúcar coastal climate.
