The Adega Cooperativa de Monção was founded in 1958 to pool fruit from Monção growers. Muralhas (Walls), named for the historic granite ramparts of Monção, is the cooperative's flagship Alvarinho-Trajadura blend and one of the high-volume references for sub-region Alvarinho.
