Premium Manzanilla Pasada from the Herederos de Argüeso family archive solera; the extended under-flor ageing develops deeper complexity while retaining the Atlantic salinity characteristic of Sanlúcar.

What it pairs with

  • Langoustines with sea salt
Natural sweetness of crustaceans highlighted by the wine's saline, nutty depth.
  • Salt cod with olive oil (bacalao al pil-pil)
Gelatinous emulsified salt cod is a Spanish classic with aged Manzanilla.
  • Cured ibérico ham
The quintessential Andalusian pairing for fine aged Sanlúcar wine.

History

The Reserva de Familia Manzanilla Pasada under the Herederos de Argüeso label is the private reserve expression, drawing from the oldest butts in the family's Barrio Bajo solera. The wine is held back until the flor partially recedes, producing the Pasada character that was historically reserved for family use and special occasions.

  1. 1822 — Foundation of Argüeso family soleras; oldest reserve butts maintained
  2. 1990 — Reserva de Familia released commercially as a limited label
