What it pairs with
-
Oysters with shallot vinegar
Mineral finish and creamy mousse handle brine and bivalves with classic Cremant ease. -
Crottin de Chavignol
Loire goat cheese and Chenin-led Cremant are a textbook regional pairing. -
Roast chicken with lemon
Linden-blossom and citrus aromatics lift roast poultry without overpowering it. -
Salmon en croute
Brioche notes and a creamy mousse frame buttery pastry and oily fish.
How to serve Langlois Brut Reserve
Allow 25 minutes from open to pour.
- Chill to 8 to 10 C. Cool in an ice-and-water bath for 20 minutes; avoid freezer chill, which mutes the linden-blossom aromatics.
- Open and pour gently. Tilt the glass and pour slowly to preserve the creamy mousse and biscuity lees character.
- Use a tulip glass. A tulip funnels the brioche and pear aromatics better than a tall flute or coupe.
- Pair with the food. Serve as an aperitif with oysters or Crottin de Chavignol; at table with roast chicken and lemon or salmon en croute.
