The cooperative's estate Amarone Classico provides accessible quality from 230 family growers across the Classico zone; a solid, tobacco-cherry traditional Amarone at significantly better value than single-estate bottlings at comparable quality.

What it pairs with

  • Beef stew alla Veronese
The wine's traditional tobacco-cherry profile is a reliable partner for Veronese-style stewed beef.
  • Pizza al tartufo nero
The cooperative's accessible price point and good structure make it a fine choice for truffle pizza.

History

The Cantina Valpolicella Negrar cooperative has been producing Amarone since the 1960s, providing the 230 member grower families a route to market for their Classico zone fruit. The Domaso single-vineyard is the flagship, but the estate Amarone provides accessible quality at cooperative pricing.
