Begali's Monte Ca' Bianca is a traditional-school Amarone from very old Corvina vines; the deep mineral iron note and high acidity set it apart, making it one of the most distinctive and food-friendly examples in the Classico zone.

What it pairs with

  • Venison stew with polenta
The wine's iron mineral character and high acidity find a perfect foil in gamey venison and polenta.
  • Aged Monte Veronese d'Allevo
The local aged cheese from the Lessini hills is the quintessential regional pairing.

History

Lorenzo and Giordana Begali founded the estate in 1986, specifically seeking out old Corvina vines on the Ca' Bianca hillside in San Pietro in Cariano. The old-vine concentration combined with traditional large-cask ageing produces a wine of notable depth and mineral distinctiveness.
