A Veronese IGT using partial ripasso over Amarone pomace adding richness to the Corvina-Rondinella blend, while a small Sangiovese component adds acidity. Approachable but complex mid-tier red from Allegrini.

What it pairs with

  • Pasta with meat ragu
The wine's cherry-tobacco notes and medium body are a classic match for Veneto-style meat sauce.
  • Pizza with cured meats
Approachable tannins and good acidity work well with cured salami and prosciutto pizza.
  • Grilled lamb kebab
Dried herbs and cherry fruit complement grilled lamb's mild gamey character.

History

Palazzo della Torre was designed as Allegrini's accessible entry point into the ripasso-adjacent style, using a small percentage of late-harvested dried grapes to add complexity to the fresh Corvina base.

  1. 1989 — Palazzo della Torre launched as Allegrini's approachable mid-range Veronese IGT
