Frequently asked about Bonne Pioche
What does Bonne Pioche taste like?
Red and black fruit, garrigue, sweet spice and pepper on the nose; spicy red fruit, vanilla, thyme and supple tannin on the palate. Medium-bodied with a medium finish.
When should I drink Bonne Pioche?
Drink between 3 and 10 years from vintage. The wine is approachable young; the partial oak aging gives it a few more years than an unoaked cuvée.
What food pairs with Bonne Pioche?
Roast pork loin with herbes de Provence is the canonical match; beef tartare with cornichons and aged Tomme de Savoie also work well.
What grapes are in Bonne Pioche?
65% Syrah with Grenache and Mourvèdre completing the blend. Sourced from Clavel's organically farmed Pic Saint-Loup parcels.
