Aroma: cassis, dark plum, roasted cedar, violet incense

Palate: concentrated black fruit, graphite, espresso, polished tannins

The prestige Quintus label from Tarsus: concentrated cassis, violet and graphite from new French oak and old vines at La Horra, with polished, age-worthy tannins at the highest tier.

What it pairs with

  • Prime Castilian beef chop
Dense tannins and graphite require the fat and depth of properly aged premium beef.
  • Wild mushroom risotto with truffle
Graphite and espresso notes in the wine echo the earthy mushroom and truffle.
  • Manchego DOP viejo with quince paste
Concentrated fruit and firm structure are matched by aged cheese and sweet quince.
