Petrolo's signature Sangiovese-Merlot-Cabernet blend, drawing from Boggina, Galatrona and Campo Lusso. The everyday face of the estate.

What it pairs with

  • Roast beef with rosemary potatoes
Sangiovese acid cuts the roast; cedar from the Cabernet share matches rosemary.
  • Wild mushroom risotto
Porcini umami amplifies the wine's leather and earth; cherry brightens.
  • Tuscan salame with crostini
Cured pork fat meets the wine's medium tannin; tobacco mirrors the cured note.

History

Torrione was launched in 1988 under Lucia Bazzocchi Sanjust's direction as part of Petrolo's shift toward premium winemaking. The wine has remained the estate's flagship blend, drawing from the historic Boggina (Sangiovese), Galatrona (Merlot) and Campo Lusso (Cabernet Sauvignon) parcels.
