The historic estate cuvée of Mas Cal Demoura (formerly L'Infidele, renamed in 2015); a five-variety Languedoc blend from across the estate's parcels, mid-weight and structured.

What it pairs with

  • Daube of beef with olives
The wine's warm spice and dark fruit pair with slow-braised beef.
  • Roast lamb shoulder with garlic
Cal Demoura's fine grain tannin softens the lamb fat.
  • Pelardon goat cheese with honey
The wine's dried-flower note complements the cheese's nuttiness.

History

Terre de Jonquieres replaced L'Infidele as the estate cuvée name from the 2015 vintage onward, when Mas Cal Demoura was passed from Jean-Pierre Jullien to Vincent and Isabelle Goumard. The blend draws on Cal Demoura's two distinct terroirs: clay-limestone and rockier high-elevation Larzac soils.

  1. 1995 — First vintage of the estate cuvée (then called L'Infidele)
  2. 2015 — Cuvée renamed Terre de Jonquieres under Vincent Goumard
