Vina Sol is the Torres single-varietal Parellada white from the home Pacs del Penedes vineyards and wider Catalan sourcing. Light, fresh and citrus-led with no oak; the wine has been in continuous production since 1962 and remains the everyday entry-tier reference for Parellada.
Tip: Vina Sol is best drunk within 12 to 18 months of vintage; the Parellada freshness fades quickly with age.

Freixenet's Carta Nevada is the frosted-bottle entry-tier Cava from the Sant Sadurni house, blending Macabeo, Xarel-lo and Parellada with around 12 months of bottle ageing on lees. A baseline reference for the broad sparkling category at supermarket pricing.
Tip: The frosted bottle distinguishes Carta Nevada from the black-bottle Cordon Negro. Both are entry-tier Brut.
DO CavaMacabeo, Xarel-lo, ParelladaEUR 10-13 retail
The black-bottle entry-tier Brut from Freixenet, blending the three classic white varieties with around 15 months of bottle ageing. Cordon Negro is a high-volume Cava (Freixenet exports over 100 million bottles annually) and a baseline reference for the category.
Tip: Cordon Negro is a touch drier than Carta Nevada with a slightly longer bottle ageing; choose Cordon Negro for canapes and apero, Carta Nevada for sweeter pairings.
